ABRAMS KARATE DOJO, a new beginning.

This is the website for the new ABRAMS KARATE DOJO, formerly Do Gakuin Shotokan Karate-do. The Abrams Karate Dojo, Inc. was established on October 1, 2021, following the unfortunate passing of our sensei, Shihan Steve Gottwirt on Sept 18, 2021. The new dojo is being run by Shihan Gottwirt's Uchi Deshi and Dai Sempai, Sensei Jonathan Abrams. All former Do Gakuin students are welcome, where they will feel at home.

Sensei Abrams brings 35 years of martial arts' experience, where he is now teaching and training alongside his two sons Samuel & Ethan. Samuel has also been sharing in the teaching responsibilities.

We are still located at Congregation B'Nai Israel, 91 North Bayview Ave, Freeport, New York, 11520, where we have called home for the last 12 years. Our current class schedule is:

 Mondays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays 6:00-7:15pm, & Sundays 11:30-1:00pm.
